JD Supermarket Committed to 100-Fold Compensation for Substandard Sanitary Products

On March 15th, CCTV's '3・15' Gala exposed a company in Jining City that was acquiring substandard sanitary napkins and diapers from reputable brands. These products were then reprocessed and resold on some e-commerce platforms. Brands involved include Mukeku (麦酷酷), Ziyoudian (自由点), Meifei (米菲), Quancaishidai (全棉时代) and Sofy (苏菲).
In response to the issues highlighted by CCTV's '3・15' Gala, multiple well-known sanitary napkin brands issued statements on March 16th denying that substandard products had leaked out as described in the report.
On March 16th, JD Supermarket made a commitment: all self-operated sanitary napkins and diapers sold through its platform are directly supplied by brand manufacturers. They undergo rigorous testing to ensure no second-rate or defective items enter their inventory. Moreover, every single product is carefully selected from reputable brands after stringent screening processes.
In case consumers purchase substandard goods on JD Supermarket, they will receive a 100 times compensation for the issue products.
To comprehensively safeguard product quality and safety, JD Supermarket has implemented seven leading industry-quality management measures that ensure the integrity of its products. These include: origin control at production sites; qualification reviews for goods; new item testing; warehouse entry inspections; random spot checks; tracking user feedbacks; replacing risky items.
JD Supermarket adheres to high retail platform standards, forming a quality assurance team consisting of 30 experts and over one hundred frontline inspectors. It has established an end-to-end control system from production sites through upstream factories all the way down to consumers. Strict management is applied to product manufacturing processes and raw material sources, ensuring every batch entering its warehouses meets high-quality criteria.
JD Supermarket collaborates closely with more than twenty industry associations and third-party testing institutions such as China Quality Certification Center. It has established over sixty types of JD standards for various goods categories.
Additionally, it set up a leading quality laboratory in the e-commerce sector, establishing wine authentication laboratories across eight cities' liquor warehouses and pesticide residue rapid detection labs at eighteen fresh produce storage facilities nationwide. It possesses more than one hundred testing capabilities open to society as well.
